How did you get into guide work?
I started my guide work in Kauai and from there moved to Oahu to continue growing my small business. I’ve called Hawai’i home for 13 years.
Run me through a typical day with Captain Max Boat Tours. What can your guests expect?
I enjoy waking up early, feeling the need for speed out at sea, cracking jokes, & playing music. It’s the perfect day that would allow business and pleasure to meet perfectly!

Why should I take a trip with Captain Max instead of somebody else?
Our tours are one of a kind on the island of Oahu. We are the only tour company on island that operates from a Navy Seal built Speed Boat known as a Zodiac. Our tours are full of adventure, speed, and rad times!
Whatβs the best part of the job? The parts that keep you coming back?
The best part of my job is getting to meet new individuals daily that end up feeling like long lost friendships. I also love to be a great influence that turns fear into fun out at sea!
Whatβs the worst part? The part that feels like work?
The worst part would be how dedicated I am to maintaining the boat. It’s not easy work but it pays off daily.
What would you tell somebody wanting to get into guide work?
That if it’s something you’re passionate about it can be extremely rewarding.
