Woof.
WHO: Jet
WHERE: Outer Banks, North Carolina
WHAT: Chief Adventure Dog
On today’s Spotlight, weβre introducing a member of The Live Lost team, an adventurer whoβs been there from the beginning. Today weβre meeting Jet, Chief Adventure Dog.
Jet isnβt very talkative but still wanted to be featured on The Spotlight, so Iβve compiled a few photos and stories from Jetβs own adventures.
Back in 2016, when Jet was only a few months old, he backed out of his harness at Norman, Oklahomaβs medieval fair and escaped. Exactly what did he do on his little escape adventure? He ran inside a live jousting arena to join in on the fun the really tall dogs (horses) were having, running through and between the match with a passion only a free puppy can achieve. Jet was captured before anything bad could happen, thankfully, but not before taking a bite from a pile of freshly deposited horse droppings. Delicious.
A few years later, Jet found himself dragged along on an adventure that kickstarted The Live Lost: Moving to St. John, US Virgin Islands. Between plane rides, beach trips, and balcony nights watching the Caribbean sun slip beyond the edges of St. Thomas, Jet found the most joy in chasing the chickens that roam freely around the island. No chicken chase was more eventful however than the time he scared a chicken, causing it to jump a few feet into the air, just to land in the center of a coil of rolled up chain-link fence, forcing me to put on some work gloves and make a rescue attempt.
Jet enjoys many things, but he enjoys perhaps nothing more than the time he spends hiking, beaching, and adventuring with me. From road trips across the country to daily three-mile walks around the Currituck Lighthouse this summer, his greatest joys are being together on adventures.
You can find Jet the Adventure Dog in the Outer Banks this summer, and whether you find him on the trail or on the beach, youβll always find him on an adventure.
Or on the couch.
